Compare a route that avoids known Flock camera locations with the shortest-distance option. When cameras can’t be avoided, the app should tell you before you start.
Flock camera awareness, on your terms.
Avoid known Flock cameras, or take the shortest route with their locations in view. Spot a sleeper? Help the next person by putting it on the map.

Three things. One familiar map.

Take the shortest-distance route with camera locations on the map and alerts as you approach. Fastest time is available in Route options. Add gas, food, parking and other usual stops.
Share a camera that isn’t mapped. Nearby users can verify it or flag a false alarm. Two distinct users confirm a permanent addition or removal.
A map that gets better together
A fresh report appears as unconfirmed. Another user can verify it. A camera that’s moved or disappeared stays visible until a second user confirms its removal.

Before you head out
Not yet. This is the design preview for an Android app in development. Navigation, shared updates and real phone notifications still need integration and testing.
Flock This is a separate app with familiar search, route and navigation controls. Its planned local navigator uses open map data rather than modifying the Google Maps app.
The planned baseline is public OpenStreetMap camera data, including community projects such as DeFlock and FlockHopper. App reports add a shared community layer. The map cannot establish whether a camera is currently operating.
Downloaded maps, known cameras and navigation are planned to work locally. Sharing new reports and receiving other users’ updates needs a connection. An offline report should wait in a queue until acknowledged by the service.
The selected camera location and observation need to be shared. The design keeps your route and precise live location on your phone, with coarse watch areas used for nearby alerts.
The development Android app adds private trip groups. Either driver can tap Panic to report law enforcement at their current location, or choose a speed trap or road hazard. Invited drivers see temporary red pins and can receive group notifications. Reports expire after 30 minutes; live phone delivery still needs production testing.
The proposed stack uses local navigation and managed free cloud plans. Those services have usage limits; capacity and notification delivery still need live testing before launch.
